La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing support, encouragement, information, and education to women who want to breastfeed. All women interested in breastfeeding are invited to attend meetings for an enjoyable time of mother-to-mother sharing. Babies and children are always welcome, and refreshments are provided. The group maintains a lending library of books that mothers may borrow. The Series meetings rotate through four main breastfeeding topics, but always cover new ground as the moms in attendance share their experiences, and as different aspects of each topic are explored.
La Leche League Leaders are experienced nursing mothers who volunteer to assist other mothers with breastfeeding questions or concerns. Leaders can be reached at their homes by phone or email.
